Meet Ivan, the man behind the camera:
My path to a career in photography has been long and winding. I have a graduate degree in physics 🔭, I started and ran a cool hi-tech business. When my partner offered to buy me out, I jumped at the opportunity to move on to something new.
After spending a bit of time studying art and art history I decided to use that knowledge and start my own photography studio specializing in art and fashion photography.
In 2012 my family and I moved to the US and I founded Mind On Photography where I aim to bring my fashion photography skills into wedding photography, professional headshots and family photos.
I ran my first marathon at age 47 and now training for the next one. Never stop moving, right?! Me and my younger son Marc are huge fans of skiing, we spend all winter weekends in Sugarbush, VT and going skiing out West every March.
🇺🇦 For the last two years, my wife and I have been host parents of two teenage boys fleeing the war in Ukraine.

We worked with Mind On Photography for both engagement and wedding day photos and it was the best decision ever! Ivan is an immensely talented photographer. He has experience in fashion photography so he's great at posed portraits. But he's also amazing at documentary-style candids — professional and on top of everything, unobtrusive. We aren't even sure how he got some of the close-up shots of us looking emotional during vows because we have no memories of him and his camera. He also managed to effortlessly single shoot our 100-person wedding reception, and we had lots of great photos of our guests. Besides being a talented photographer, Ivan is also just a genuinely wonderful person — warm, funny, and open-minded.
